Beaches of Chia

SU PORTU
Sandy bottom and small stones, bordered by a cliff. On its left on a high ridge covered with Mediterranean vegetation, stands the Tower of Chia. At the base lie the ruins of the ancient Phoenician city of Bithia and Cardolinu, an island joined to the beach by a narrow strip of sand.
SA COLONIA
Joined to the beach of Su Portu, it is characterised by light-coloured sandy beach and swallow waters.
DUNE DI CAMPANA
One of the most beautiful beaches in Sardinia: it has white sand, enclosed by a low, narrow bluff, and has clear sea reflecting sky-blues with shallow waters. The area is also characterised by the presence of a pond in which different migratory birds paddle: from coots to little egrets to grey herons.
SU GIUDEU
It is joined to the beach of S’Acqua Durci. Its name comes form the octopus that swims in the waters around a couple of rock-cliffs (also known as “Su Giudeu”) reacheable swimming or by feet across a stretch of particularly shallow water.
CALA CIPOLLA
A small beach which borders with the bay of S’Acqua Dulci”. It is characterized by pure white sand and enclosed by granite bluffs.
